However, it is still too early to speculate what will become of the team during the season but as reported by le site Rumeursdetransaction.com, it is possible that the Bruins organization may eventually have an eye on what is happening in Montreal.
According to journalist Rob Couch, it is quite possible that the Bruins' General Manager, Don Sweeney, will add reinforcements at the trade deadline and Sean Monahan's name has been mentioned by Couch in the article.
The Canadiens' forward is off to an excellent start to the season and his modest salary of just $1.95 million makes him an excellent target for a potential acquisition by the Bruins at the trade deadline.
Despite their excellent start to the season, the Bruins still have some shortcomings in the offense, and the potential arrival of Monahan, who can play all positions, could be beneficial and especially bring depth to the team.
We are still far from such a scenario but it is known that Kent Hughes will want to get the best possible value for number 91, if obviously the goal of the Canadiens' management is to trade Sean Monahan at the trade deadline.
If it were our decision, as you know, we would not trade Monahan, even if his contract expires this summer. We would sign him again.
Would you trade Monahan to the Bruins for a first-round pick?
