Dramatic turn of events on National Hockey League waivers: Campbell's faith is now known

As you probably already know, we were treated to a huge surprise at the NHL waivers yesterday afternoon, when the Edmonton Oilers announced that they had placed goaltender Jack Campbell on waivers.

Many even spoke of a real dramatic turn.

Shortly after awarding him a very large contract of 25 million dollars, valid until 2027, the Oilers have already placed Campbell on waivers.

Campbell, 31 years old, earns 5 million per season and he has save percentages of .873 and .888 with the Oilers over the past two years, after a solid stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
