We know the Montreal Canadiens are going to do everything they can this summer to add offensive reinforcements-and potentially bring in a quality second-line center.

That would be the ideal scenario for the young Ivan Demidov.
On that topic, we've just received some very interesting information.
Reputable TSN insider Chris Johnston has just revealed the names of 19 players (and one draft pick) who are officially available on the NHL trade market right now.
Among them are a few centers:
So we can conclude that these are three very logical and realistic targets for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
We've already talked a lot about Rossi, so let's focus here on Schenn.

Two Trade Chips Placed on the Market by the Montreal Canadiens

In the same article, we learn that Kent Hughes would be willing to trade Logan Mailloux and one of his 2025 first-round picks (either the 16th or the 17th overall).
So it's easy to deduce that, in order to acquire a center this summer (like Brayden Schenn), the Canadiens would be willing to part with Logan Mailloux and a 2025 first-round pick.
That's really interesting.
And you, would you be willing to trade Mailloux and a 1st-rounder to acquire a solid second-line center?
At 33 years old, Brayden Schenn is a 6-foot-1, 199-pound center and a Stanley Cup champion (2019).
He recorded 50 points in 82 games this season and had a positive plus-minus of +3.
Personally, I'd aim more for a Jordan Kyrou, but hey, this will be something to watch closely heading into the 2025 Draft.
