We know that the Montreal Canadiens want to add reinforcements to their top 6 forwards, and we know that Jeff Gorton mentioned that it could come via a winger.

Among the players who will be available for free this summer on the free agent market, we find star player Brock Boeser.
Boeser, 28 years old, has accumulated 434 points, including 204 goals, in 554 career games in the National Hockey League.
He notably scored 29 goals in 62 games, as well as 26 goals in 69 games during his first two seasons in the NHL.
This season, Boeser recorded 50 points (25 goals) in 75 games with the Vancouver Canucks.
With his 6-foot-2, 212-pound frame, he could definitely be an interesting option for the Montreal Canadiens, But at what price?

The price to sign forward Brock Boeser has just been revealed!

According to reports from Bleacher Report sources, if the Montreal Canadiens want to sign Boeser, they will have to offer him around $8.5 million per year over six or seven seasons.
"Brock Boeser would cost around $8.5 million per year, on a six- or seven-year contract this summer."

At that price, would you do it?
It may seem expensive, but honestly, that's the price you have to pay for an unrestricted free agent of this caliber.
A six-season contract would bring Boeser to the age of 33 or 34, which isn't all that unreasonable.
He would certainly be a nice upgrade over a Kirby Dach or an Alex Newhook on the Canadiens' top 6, and I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, but it wouldn't be my first option either.
It's good information to keep in mind.
