We do, in fact, have some action on the NHL waiver wire involving a forward who could be of interest to the Montreal Canadiens.

Some have mentioned Toronto Maple Leafs' David Kampf...
"Chris Johnston: Re David Kampf: A team like the Canadiens, they don't have a left shot center on their roster, you can't tell me they wouldn't use a player like him; he has attributes that a team like that would find appealing."

But now, a similar player is currently available for free.

There's NHL waiver wire action involving forward Carson Meyer

As reported by Sportsnet journalist Elliotte Friedman, Meyer is currently available for free.
"Carson Meyer (BUF) on waivers."

- Elliotte Friedman, insider for Sportsnet
Carson Meyer, 28 years old, is a well-rounded forward standing 5 feet 11 inches and weighing 187 pounds.
He was a sixth-round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2017 (179th overall) and has 41 games of NHL experience.
More recently, he recorded 21 points in 29 games with the San Diego Gulls (AHL), as well as 37 points in 55 games - including 22 goals - with the Cleveland Monsters (AHL), along with two points in 14 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL.
He also had a solid NCAA career, notably collecting 31 points in 35 games in 2020 with Ohio State... yes, the same university as a certain Jakub Dobes!
Do you think Kent Hughes would bite on one of these two forwards?
