With the trade that sent Logan Mailloux to the St. Louis Blues, the Montreal Canadiens ended a four-year association with him.

Drafted at the very end of the first round in 2021, the athlete from Belle River, Ontario, experienced the full range of emotions-and it's safe to say he left no one indifferent.
Some saw him as a future power-play quarterback for the Canadiens, while others believed he was a prime trade asset for Kent Hughes.
As reported by DansLesCoulisses, insider Marco D'Amico stated via RG.org that Logan Mailloux knew he was going to be traded, and his agent even informed him on the very day the deal went down.

Another trade involving Logan Mailloux was in the works before the one announced with the St. Louis Blues

However, the tall right-handed defenseman didn't know where he would end up, as several NHL teams had shown interest in him.
Kent Hughes was involved in multiple serious trade talks centered around Logan Mailloux-one of which was more concrete than the others. Interesting!
Many Canadiens fans even thought Mailloux might be included in the trade that brought Noah Dobson to Montreal, but he ultimately landed with the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Quebec-born forward Zachary Bolduc.
With Dobson's arrival and David Reinbacher likely joining the main roster soon, Mailloux's days with the Canadiens had been numbered for some time, and once again, Kent Hughes managed to extract maximum value for one of his players.
On another note, Mailloux had time to embrace Quebec culture during his stint with the Canadiens-he even became a big fan of Les Cowboys Fringants.
"I'm a big fan and still listen to a few songs here and there."

- Logan Mailloux

All that's left is to wish him the best of luck with the Blues and hope his NHL career takes off with the Western Conference team.
