We have an update regarding the rumors surrounding Colorado Avalanche elite forward Mikko Rantanen. According to what was just reported by Sportsnet analyst Nick Kypreos, things are getting serious in this matter.

Three teams have even gone as far as to submit serious offers in an attempt to acquire one of the top 10 players in the world.

All of this is due to the fact that the Avalanche has not been able to come to terms with Rantanen on a contract extension, and Colorado could potentially lose him for nothing next summer.

Mikko Rantanen, 28 years old, 6 feet 4 inches, and 215 pounds, is one of the top forwards in the entire National Hockey League.

The 10th overall pick in 2015 (1st round) has an impressive 62 points in 46 games this season, including 25 goals, after collecting 104 points and 105 points in the past two seasons.

He is currently earning $9.25 million per year and will be a free agent next July, unless he signs a contract extension.
