Surprise Announcement Concerning Tony DeAngelo: the Verdict has just been Revealed
Available for free on the waiver wire, the National Hockey League has just announced that Tony DeAngelo has been passed over.
The verdict has come down
We must admit we are surprised.
None of the NHL teams wanted to acquire DeAngelo, even for free, so his contract will be bought out by the Flyers and he will become a free agent.
He is therefore likely to sign a one-year contract, with an annual value of 1 to 3 million dollars, with the team of his choice.
At this price, would you take the risk?
Unsurprisingly, many rumors link him with the Carolina Hurricanes.
DeAngelo, 27 years old, was a 19th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2014.
His numbers are quite impressive and could help many clubs.
He accumulated 42 points with the Flyers last season, and he produced at a rate of 65 points per season twice during his last three campaigns.
He has been one of the most productive defenseman in the NHL, but he also comes with his share of red flags.
More details to follow.
