Major last-minute announcement for Christian Dvorak and we now know why he was not traded
Despite numerous rumors and despite the fact that there's really no room for him anymore with the Montreal Canadiens, Christian Dvorak has still not been traded by Kent Hughes.
Now we know why.
Contrary to what was announced in March, it turns out that Dvorak will finally undergo knee surgery.
This will be a major operation and he apparently will not be ready for the start of the next season.
Even in full health, Dvorak's value wasn't huge, but knowing that he's injured and his condition is uncertain, it quickly becomes clear why he was not traded.
Arpon Basu suggests that Dvorak would not be ready for training camp. In fact, he could miss weeks at the start of the regular season.
Not a great way to start a season, let's say.
One thing is certain, it has been announced that Dvorak has had surgery, finally. Clearly, the new therapists have judged that it would be better.
