See what journalist Mark Scheig has just reported via Mike Greenburg of ESPN.
«Mike Greenburg of ESPN announced the death of Johnny Gaudreau on the show Get Up. He also stated that the driver of the car had been arrested and charged with two counts of driving under the influence and causing death.»
Sean Higgins, facing two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, could be sentenced to 10 years per charge, potentially resulting in up to 20 years in prison. Additionally, he may be fined up to $200,000 for each death.
As Charles-Alexis Brisebois rightly mentioned just minutes ago, this is unfortunately an avoidable tragedy.
«After all, even though drunk driving is a scourge that is taken more seriously than before, it remains something that can easily be avoided but isn't always.

The message we must take from all of this is that there are solutions instead of driving while intoxicated.»

This tragedy MUST help bring about change.
Whether through Uber, a taxi, or friends coming to pick us up, there are so many other solutions, and it is unforgivable to drive while intoxicated.
