Many have (probably rightly) given up on the idea, but on BPM Sports just minutes ago, TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie brought back some hope.
Among those who still seem to believe, there's Renaud Lavoie.
In his opinion, with the success of the Kings' first game in Quebec and the large crowd it drew, this is certainly not insignificant for the return of the Nordiques and could catch some attention.
In his view, if an American investor sees all this and decides to really put money on the table to bring back the Nordiques, it could genuinely move things along quickly and make it a reality.
Renaud Lavoie's Segment: «Quebec Proves There's Room for Professional Hockey»
Clearly, Renaud Lavoie seems to think that the return of the Nordiques could hinge on an American investor.
The two conditions for the possible return of the Nordiques: an American investor and a good owner who impresses Gary Bettman.
It would take an investor from the United States to convince a certain Gary Bettman...
It's also worth mentioning, for those who didn't listen to the segment, that Renaud's tone of voice really seems to indicate that he still believes there's a chance for this to happen.
And what about you? If a powerful investor from our neighbors to the South decided to invest in bringing a team back to Quebec, do you think it could work?
See you tomorrow!
