Absolutely embarrassing and awkward scene live during a game yesterday
Last night, during the game between the Ottawa Senators and the Buffalo Sabres, the Sens' head coach, DJ Smith, made the decision to switch goalies.
So far, so good.
However, the big problem, and it's really embarrassing, is that absolutely no one informed the goalie in question, Anton Forsberg, that he was being pulled from the game.
So, he jumped onto the ice at the beginning of the period. He went to his net and was ready to continue the game.
It was one of his teammates who had to come and inform him.
A truly embarrassing, unprofessional, and humiliating scene for the netminder.
Not cool, Mr. Smith.
