We were treated to a very good hockey game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Seattle Kraken.
Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki first combined their efforts to open the scoring:
What an absolutely incredible play by the captain!
Then, Juraj Slafkovsky added to it by scoring his team's second goal - once again thanks to a beautiful play orchestrated by number 14 of the Montreal Canadiens, followed up by Caufield, and skillfully finished by Slaf:
It was really beautiful to watch!
Exceptional chemistry between Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Cole Caufield
It's always interesting to see what players say to each other on the ice, so here's a nice little clip that clearly shows what Slafkovsky joyfully shouted to his teammate after the second goal:
What a passing play indeed!
Then, Alex Newhook continued his excellent start to the season by extending his team's lead to 3-0:
Finally, the Seattle Kraken scored three unanswered goals (by Brendan Montour - twice - and Shane Wright)...
But of course, who else but Cole Caufield to seal the outcome of this game?
Caufield was later (unsurprisingly) named player of the game by his teammates, but we also have to mention goaltender Jakub Dobes, who improved his record to 6-0-0 in this early part of the 2025-2026 season.
Last night, he stopped 18 of the 21 shots directed his way.
A very nice evening/night for the Habs!
