One thing's for sure, the rugged forward made sure to prove his head coach right against the Boston Bruins last night.
Pezzetta made his physical presence known, nearly picked up his first point of the season, finished the game with a +1 rating, took a shot on goal, blocked a shot, and dished out seven 7 hits!
Not bad at all for a player who got less than eight minutes of ice time.
The Canadiens' number 55 forward (6-foot-1) even went up to the Bruins' giant 6-foot-6 defenseman, Nikita Zadorov, to send him a little message during a break.
Pezzetta didn't appreciate some of the dangerous hits Zadorov threw early in the game, especially what happened with
Kaiden Guhle, so he went to send him a message.
It seemed to work, so Pezzetta handled that situation well.
It's great to see Pezzetta's little "comeback," as he's someone who's very well-liked in the Montreal Canadiens locker room.
Pezzetta, 27 years old, has 38 points in 195 career NHL games (227 penalty minutes) and is still searching for his first point this season.
He played his 20th game last night, and I get the feeling he'll be back in the lineup tomorrow against the Philadelphia Flyers.
