Two Trades Could Reportedly Be Pending for the Canadiens, Per Latest Rumour
In his article of the day, the excellent Maxime Truman has just reported some very interesting information regarding the Montreal Canadiens.
Hold on to your hats. Things could really shake up in a few days for the Tricolore.
According to sources (and this lines up perfectly with the big rumor circulating), the Montreal Canadiens could very well have two trades pending.
First, a trade to move Carey Price's contract as of September 1st could be in the works.
And second, a trade to possibly acquire a second centerman immediately afterward, thanks to the cap space created under the NHL salary cap.
No, Kent Hughes has not finished his work.
The Montreal Canadiens could announce two trades shortly
We mentioned it a few days ago, but once again it's Seattle Kraken center Jared McCann who is being targeted by Truman.
Here are two excerpts from his latest article:
"Last Saturday night, I ran into someone from the sports media world at Stade Saputo. Someone who has given me some good information a few times in the past.
Chatting a bit with my Saturday contact, I understood that yes, the chances of seeing Carey Price's contract traded once Carey receives his bonus ($5.5 million on September 1st) are high.
So, could the Canadiens turn toward a guy like Jared McCann, a name that's been echoing around Montreal for several months? It's possible!"
