We indeed have long-term injuries to announce, including one that has a fairly direct impact on the Montreal Canadiens.
This is an interesting and important summary, especially for hockey pool fans, as some big names have recently suffered long-term injuries.
The first one is really unfortunate and quite concerning.
Monahan has been absent from
the Columbus Blue Jackets' lineup for nearly a month, and the team just announced that he will need to miss another 4 to 6 weeks.
He was really playing good hockey for the Jackets, so let's hope for their sake that he comes back at 100% as soon as possible.
Dobson was possibly the Islanders' best player, imagine, and he has just been placed on the long-term injured reserve list.
Things aren't going too well for Patrick Roy and the Islanders.
Next up are the
New Jersey Devils, who lost their number one goalie, Jacob Markstrom, for 4 to 6 weeks.
This injury will have a direct impact on Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, as discussed in the following article.
With Monahan and Dobson unfortunately out long-term, this could benefit the Canadiens in their tight playoff race with the Islanders and Blue Jackets.
Let's hope the Habs can continue to stay clear of this kind of bad news.
