We have a few updates to report.
First of all, please note that, like veteran Mike Matheson, Juraj Slafkovsky is receiving treatment today, Monday.
Both players, dealing with minor injuries, are resting today.
See the Canadiens' official statement regarding this matter:
Please also note that a third player is missing.
Defenseman Kaiden Guhle (injured, day-to-day) is unfortunately not on the ice with his teammates.
These are developments to closely monitor. We could have answers in the coming minutes as the Montreal Canadiens will hold press conferences immediately after practice.
Head coach Martin St-Louis will be answering journalists' questions.
Rest assured, we will keep you updated on any developments, though our level of concern is low for Matheson and Slafkovsky.
However, in Kaiden Guhle's case, we are eagerly waiting for his return to the ice.
More details to follow.
Kaiden Guhle, aged 22, is a 6-foot-3, 202-pound defenseman, drafted in the 1st round by the Montreal Canadiens in 2020 (16th overall pick).
He has four points in five games this season, with a solid +4 rating, and has accumulated 44 points in 119 career games in the NHL so far.
He is truly one of the most important players for the Habs.
