Something special is happening with the Montreal Canadiens right now. It's a phrase that comes up often, but it's so true.
There was a small gesture (subtle, you might say) made after the Habs' most recent game that says so much about the support among the players.
You know this is the kind of thing I love to notice, but I truly think it's important.
After Dobes' incredible game in Nashville, where the young goalie absolutely stole the show, Montembeault couldn't help but practically jump into his arms, he was so happy to see his young teammate perform so well.
Look at 90% of goalies who congratulate each other in the NHL after a big game.. it's often pretty reserved or even a bit fake, due to the natural competition between goalies.
It's normal.. everyone wants to be number one!
Samuel Montembeault praises Jakub Dobes and was genuinely happy to see his young teammate succeed in Nashville
However, in Montembeault's case, it was clear he was genuinely way too happy for Dobes.
"Sam Montembeault congratulating Jakub Dobes after his win yesterday.
The Habs power of friendship is stronger than ever."

During his most recent press conference, Samuel Montembeault deflected a few questions to praise the work of his young teammate, Jakub Dobes.
It's such a beautiful thing to see, and it was absolutely worth highlighting.
It's the kind of gesture, and the kind of comments, that clearly show the chemistry within the Montreal Canadiens is on another level right now.
Bravo Samuel and bravo Jakub!
