In the last few minutes, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis was holding a press conference.
He was, of course, asked about his lineup for tonight's big game against
the Detroit Red Wings, and he mentioned the following:
The Canadiens also announced a change, and it's happening in net, as
Samuel Montembeault will be the starter.
Martin St-Louis announces that Samuel Montembeault will be back in net and that David Savard could return to play
This will be a situation to monitor.
Regarding the ongoing question about whether or not
Arber Xhekaj will be in tonight's lineup, St-Louis responded and reiterated that David Savard could possibly return to action tonight.
We can therefore understand that the verdict for Xhekaj will depend on Savard's status.
"Martin St-Louis says David Savard could return to the Habs' lineup tonight against the Red Wings, but Emil Heineman will not.
