Journalist Arpon Basu, who covers the Montreal Canadiens for The Athletic, discussed a young forward set to reinforce the team.
Vinzenz Rohrer is expected to arrive in town soon, likely starting with the Laval Rocket before eventually joining the Canadiens.
It's difficult to keep track of them all because the Habs have drafted so many young players since the 2022 and 2023 drafts, but here's another one starting to make real waves.
Vinzenz Rohrer as reinforcement for the Laval Rocket and eventually for the Montreal Canadiens?
According to journalist Arpon Basu, Rohrer could indeed join the organization in the coming weeks.
Rohrer, 20 years old and drafted in the third round by the Canadiens in 2022, has been playing with the Zurich SC for two seasons and has shown interesting progress.
He has accumulated 40 points there, including 21 points (12 goals) in 38 games this season.
Here's what was reported:
According to Arpon Basu, Marc Crawford told him that Vinzenz Rohrer projects as a top 9 winger in the NHL and that he will be better in North America.
And that he expects Rohrer to join Laval Rocket when the Swiss season ends.

So, this is another name to keep in mind.
This could be excellent news, particularly for the Laval Rocket, as they prepare for the AHL playoffs.
