We witnessed an unusual moment last night in Montreal following the game between the Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.
First, let's recall that Martin St-Louis' squad won in overtime thanks to a beautiful goal scored by
Alex Newhook-with the help of forward...
Drake Batherson!
Well, following the game-and after that embarrassing overtime mistake-Drake Batherson flat-out refused to answer questions from the media in Montreal after the matchup.
Drake Batherson refuses to answer questions from reporters in Montreal after the game and after his mistake that led to Alex Newhook's overtime winner for the Montreal Canadiens
It's extremely rare to see something like that.
"For those wondering, Drake Batherson declined to speak to the media postgame."
- Julian McKenzie
"He didn't want to talk about his great pass to Alex Newhook for the Habs OT winner?"
- HabsOnReddit
It's a reminder of how impressive athletes like
Samuel Montembeault are-always willing to face the music and answer reporters' questions, even after tough games or costly mistakes.
In Montembeault's case, he actually asked to face the media instead of hiding... That says a lot about him as an athlete, in my opinion!
As well as this scene involving Arber:
In the end, the Montreal Canadiens came out on top in overtime against their rivals from Ottawa!
