Ivan Demidov went through very difficult times, and his mental health suffered
Demidov knew that having injury problems during his draft year was really not ideal for him, and it probably contributed to his fall to the 5th overall pick (even though he was clearly the 2nd best player in the 2024 draft).
Demidov also adds that it was mentally tough for him to miss games because he had never really been injured before, and he loves playing hockey.
He absolutely hated having to watch games from the stands and miss his turn due to injuries.
Clearly, he seems to be a true hockey enthusiast.
Ivan Demidov, 18 years old, ultimately amassed 60 points in 30 games last season in the VHL.
Today, he is doing much better and is extremely eager to wear the Montreal Canadiens' uniform. You can really feel that he has grown from this experience and is determined to prove the Canadiens right.
