The incident occurred Thursday at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The play happened at 16:51 of the second period.
On the sequence, Lundell was assessed a double-minor penalty for high-sticking.
Lundell has 31 points in 43 games this season. With the Panthers dealing with injuries to Barkov, Tkachuk, Jones, and Marchand, he has emerged as a key player.
On the other side, Alexandre Texier continues to make headlines in Montreal. He recorded a hat trick against the Panthers after posting a three-point performance the night before against the Calgary Flames.
The forward wears No. 85 and is on a one-year, $1 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens.
In a season where every point matters in the Atlantic Division, this type of sequence adds another layer of electricity to the Canadiens-Panthers rivalry.
It sets the stage nicely for the next matchup in April.
