The popular entrepreneur Olivier Primeau is also a big sports fan, and he doesn't hesitate to share his opinions, particularly about the Montreal Canadiens.

Primeau, who also criticized the contracts given to Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, does not seem to be the biggest fan of the acquisition of Patrik Laine by Kent Hughes.

On the podcast Le Playbook with Jean-Charles Lajoie and Greg Lanctot, Primeau had this to say about Patrik Laine.

«What's the point of bringing in Laine, who is taking the place of so many young players we have? [...] Being that soft, it's not a good example at all.»

Do you agree with him?

He seems to believe that Laine is taking the spot of several young players and isn't contributing enough, especially for a player who hasn't played for a while.

He acknowledges that it's only the preseason, but he expected a much more sustained effort from Laine.

Personally, I think we need to give the former Columbus Blue Jackets player some time, especially since we have seen significant improvement from him day by day since the start of camp, particularly in his defensive involvement.

I have 100% confidence in Martin St-Louis to maximize Laine's talent.

Let's give him a chance to find his rhythm...
