Noah Dobson's early-morning session highlights the work ethic driving his performance for the Canadiens
We often talk about Lane Hutson's absolutely incredible work ethic, but let's talk a bit about Noah Dobson today.
I love seeing a player do what Dobson did this morning in Brossard.
The explanation is simple.
Dobson missed a few shots on Saturday night against the Utah Mammoth that could have been dangerous.
So what did he do today, at the earliest possible hour and the first opportunity (knowing the Canadiens had the day off yesterday)?
He showed up before everyone else, joined defensive coach Stéphane Robidas, and practiced his shot relentlessly.
It shows just how special a player Noah Dobson is.
Noah Dobson shows his impeccable work ethic
I love seeing that, especially from an already elite defenseman like Dobson.
At 25 years old, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-shot defenseman has a strong 11 points in 15 games this season, even though he barely plays on the power play (+7 differential).
He is everything the Canadiens hoped for when they traded
Emil Heineman and two first-round picks to acquire him, and when they signed him to a 9.5-million-per-year contract!
And beyond the stats, Dobson has an incredible impact in transition and over 200 feet.
Speaking of what happened this morning in Brossard, let's also remember that
captain Nick Suzuki missed practice again. It'll be a situation to watch in the coming hours and ahead of tomorrow night's game against the Los Angeles Kings.
