He was the subject of a very rare interview with Daria Tuboltseva, and it allows us to learn more about this intriguing Canadiens acquisition.

It clearly seems he's been following the Montreal Canadiens, and he mentions that he could possibly be here in two years. Interesting!
Volokhin also shared that he was extremely happy to be drafted by the Montreal Canadiens.

Volokhin was thrilled to be selected by a market like Montreal, going in the 5th round of the 2023 NHL Draft.
He could now become a real acquisition for Kent Hughes by eventually signing a contract.
The young goaltender also revealed that he speaks very regularly with Nick Bobrov (almost on a weekly basis), so the relationship with the Canadiens seems quite serious.

Despite playing for a very weak team, the 6 foot 3 goaltender finished the 2024-2025 KHL season with a very impressive save percentage of .901.
