A few hours after being signed by the Trois-Rivières Lions, Daryk Plouffe-Dubé has already been released.
It seems that he was primarily brought in to lend a hand to the team for the weekend in Norfolk.
Plouffe-Dubé is, however, an excellent young forward, and I have a feeling we'll hear from him again sooner rather than later.
We still wish him an excellent end to the season.
Dubé-Plouffe, 22 years old and from Trois-Rivières, is a 5 foot 10 and 161-pound forward.
He notably played with the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL) in 2019-2020, and most recently with the Trois-Rivières Lions in 2023-2024.
This season, he had recorded 17 points in 27 games with the Knoxville Ice Bears in the SPHL.
Dubé-Plouffe is also an excellent ball hockey player, playing for the Louiseville team in the National Ball Hockey League (LNHB).
Last season, he scored 40 points in 20 games, including 23 goals, as a rookie.
His release could be explained by the signing of 6-foot-4 forward Métis Roelens, as reported earlier today.
Things are moving with the Lions, at the third level of the organization.
