Just hours before the highly anticipated 2025 NHL Draft, we have an announcement from the Montreal Canadiens.

As new prospects are set to join the organization in the coming hours, the Habs have officially announced the return of the Prospect Showdown.
We're already excited!

The Montreal Canadiens Issue Official Statement to Announce the Return of the Prospect Showdown

Here's an excerpt from the statement.
"The Canadiens announced Thursday the return of the Prospect Showdown, an event launched in 2024 that featured some of the organization's most promising players going head-to-head with those of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This year, four teams are expected to participate, including the Ottawa Senators and Winnipeg Jets, for a series of matchups scheduled for September 13 and 14 at the Bell Centre.

All games are presented by IGA, in collaboration with Voisin."

It's definitely an event not to be missed! We're already looking forward to it!

Last-Minute Announcement from the Montreal Canadiens Just Before the Draft - and We Have Names

We're also eager to see which prospects will represent the Habs at this event, and the team's official statement includes a few names expected to take part.
"Ivan Demidov, Jacob Fowler, and Oliver Kapanen," just to name a few.

With a bit of luck and some magic from Kent Hughes, could we be adding Caleb Desnoyers to that list as early as tonight?
If not, we'll also be keeping an eye on young players like Carter Bear and Justin Carbonneau.
To be continued!
