We were treated to a memorable game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks, marking Ivan Demidov's NHL debut.
There was, of course, the warm-up, the absolutely incredible reception from the Bell Centre crowd, and the first period.
A first period in which Ivan Demidov recorded his first career NHL point-and his first goal.
There was also, of course, the shootout controversy.
The excitement was so intense that the National Hockey League actually had to cancel the commercial break:
