In his segment last night on JiC on TVA Sports, insider Renaud Lavoie had a lot to say about the Seattle Kraken.
According to Lavoie, Kraken head coach Dan Bylsma made an unacceptable gesture toward Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens.
Lavoie even described it as a cheap shot.
An Unacceptable Gesture from the Seattle Kraken Toward the Montreal Canadiens?
See Lavoie's statement.
«Something went unnoticed that really stunned me. From Dan Bylsma, no less, who won the Stanley Cup in 2009, who's been a professional for a long time, and who played in the National League for years»
«You really need to put Montour, Jared McCann, and Chandler Stephenson on the ice? Jaden Schwartz too? You really need to make the Canadiens look bad to that extent? Do you really need that goal? It's 6-1! I don't know what more you want!»
- Renaud Lavoie He refers to the fact that Dan Bylsma, while his team was already leading 6-1 against the Canadiens, still decided to put his best players out on the power play.
It was also late in the game, and it allowed defenseman Brandon Montour to complete his hat trick, adding insult to injury for the Montreal Canadiens.
Jean-Charles Lajoie responded to his colleague, suggesting that he believes Bylsma wouldn't have acted the same way against a divisional rival, a team he faces more often.
Lavoie even speaks of a lack of respect toward the Montreal Canadiens and the Kraken's supporting players, who could have had a rare opportunity and some unexpected time on the power play.
«I apologize for the expression.. but it's cheap! It's really cheap! There's five minutes left, and the Canadiens aren't coming back in this game. If I were Shane Wright and you're not putting me on the ice.. Dan Bylsma, is that how he behaves?! I hope someone remembers this.»
- Renaud Lavoie And what about you, do you agree with him?
Do you think it was a «cheap shot» by the Seattle Kraken head coach toward Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens?
