As the 2025 NHL Draft approaches, the trade market is heating up across the league, and in Montreal as well.
When it comes to the players available in Montreal, the information coming from various insiders around the NHL is unanimous: Kent Hughes is listening to offers to trade his defenseman
Logan Mailloux.
"Logan Mailloux's name is all over the trade rumors right now in the NHL."
- Jimmy Murphy
What's also interesting is that this isn't coming from a Montreal-based journalist.
Clearly, word is spreading - and clearly, Mailloux is openly available on the trade market.

I don't believe Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are desperate to trade him, but I do believe Mailloux could be used in a bigger trade, possibly to acquire that much-needed second-line center to play alongside
Ivan Demidov and
Patrik Laine.
Logan Mailloux, a Marc Bergevin draft pick, recorded 33 points in 63 games this season with the Laval Rocket, along with four points in seven games with the Montreal Canadiens.
He added six points in 13 AHL playoff games.
