Kent Hughes addresses the three-goaltender situation and hints at what could comes next

In a press conference in the last few minutes, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes confirmed what we were thinking.
One of the three goaltenders will eventually leave the Canadiens, and no, he does not want to keep the three-goalie situation for much longer.
Which one will leave and be sent down to the Laval Rocket?
He did not give a definitive answer, but listening to his response, don't be so quick to think it will be Jacob Fowler.
"This summer, the plan was for him to spend the season in the American League. Mentally, in terms of his approach, he doesn't look like a young player at all."

Kent Hughes really seems to think that Fowler is ready for the NHL, despite his age.
Kent Hughes intends to put an end to the three-goalie situation
It won't happen today, nor tomorrow, but listening to his press conference, you realize that it will definitely happen (sooner rather than later).
Hughes also more specifically mentioned the following when asked about his number-one goaltender.
"Ideally, we won't have 3 goaltenders long term.
The goalie who plays the best will play the most. That's what happened when Sam Montembeault arrived here and he won the spot. He's had two very good games. We were never worried that he forgot how to play, he just had a bad stretch. We're happy and confident that he's regained his form."

So this will be a situation to monitor, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jacob Fowler has indeed played his last game with the Laval Rocket (at least for this reason).
