We have a last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens involving defenseman Jayden Struble.
It really seems like the injury suffered by Struble
is more significant than expected, because even today, after a few days of rest, he isn't able to step on the ice with his teammates.
Announcement from the Montreal Canadiens regarding an injury by Jayden Struble
The announcement from the Canadiens is not severe, but still concerning considering all the other injuries the Habs are dealing with.
"Defenseman Jayden Struble (upper body, day-to-day) will not participate in today's practice."

This injury therefore solidifies (for the moment) the spots of Adam Engstrom and Arber Xhekaj as regulars with the Habs.
TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie added that for now, nothing indicates that this is an injury requiring a long-term absence, but let's wait and see.
"Jayden Struble won't practice today. He's day to day. The good news is he shouldn't be out for long."
