In his most recent article about Jake Evans and his wife Emily Flat, the excellent journalist Stu Cowan makes an interesting revelation.

Recall that just a few hours ago, we first reported that Jake Evans' wife announced she was expecting twins. And literally a few hours after that first publication, Emily Evans gave birth to twins and shared the first photos live from the hospital.
Journalist Stu Cowan then published an excellent article on the subject, and it's in that article that we learn that Jake Evans' wife is the daughter of a forward who collected 510 points in the NHL.

Emily Evans is the daughter of Patrick Flatley, who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League

We highly recommend the full article "Jake Evans is now the father of twins," but indeed, it contains the following passage:
"Jake Evans' wife is the daughter of Patrick Flatley, who played 14 seasons in the NHL - 13 with the New York Islanders and one with the New York Rangers.

Evans met his future wife when they were in high school."

- Stu Cowan
We had always called her "Emily Flat," since that's how the Montreal Canadiens also referred to her in their articles, but she is indeed the daughter of Patrick Flatley.
Flatley, now 61 years old, was a 6-foot-2, 195-pound forward.
A first-round pick of the New York Islanders in 1982, he collected 510 points in 780 career NHL games, including 170 goals, along with 686 penalty minutes.
