In recent hours, there's been a big effort to figure out exactly when Demidov would land in Montreal so fans could welcome him.
Some people even started tracking flights again, imagine that.
Well, clearly, we can stop all that right now, as all signs point to Demidov never landing in Montreal, but instead in Toronto.
It's understandable that the Canadiens want him to arrive as discreetly as possible, to protect the young man, to protect his girlfriend, and also to prevent it from becoming a distraction for the team.
Let's remember, according to the latest developments, Demidov is expected to join his new teammates by Saturday and is set to play his first game with the Montreal Canadiens as early as next Monday at the Bell Centre against the Chicago Blackhawks.
