The head coach of the young Russian forward in the KHL, Roman Rotenberg, stated yesterday in an interview that there would be negotiations today with Kent Hughes about Demidov.

As mentioned by the excellent Kevin Dubé from TVA Sports and the Journal, there will be «negotiations» between the Montreal Canadiens representatives currently in Russia and SKA Saint Petersburg today about Ivan Demidov.

This doesn't necessarily mean Kent Hughes will return to Montreal with Ivan Demidov, but clearly, they are working on optimizing the young player's development, as he is currently playing very little with SKA.

Demidov, 19 years old, has nonetheless managed to accumulate 20 points in 34 games this season.
