TVA Sports has reported a very sad piece of news involving former Montreal Canadiens player (and RDS analyst) Vincent Damphousse.
Last fall, it was reported that Damphousse had been the victim of a burglary, but today, heartbreaking new details have emerged about the incident.
"Former Montreal Canadiens star Vincent Damphousse was robbed last fall of not only his Stanley Cup ring, but also a Hall of Fame ring, his hockey card collection, an IWC watch, and $10,000 in Canadian cash."

This is incredibly sad for him.. These are items of absolutely priceless value to Damphousse and his family.
Heartbreaking details emerge about the burglary that victimized Vincent Damphousse
The thieves reportedly made off with the entire safe after breaking into his luxurious home.
"The suspects in this case allegedly smashed the back door of Damphousse's residence and then proceeded to a room used as an office.
The suspects moved the safe to the front door of the residence, where they loaded it into an unidentified vehicle (tire tracks were clearly visible on the property), described an officer in a statement."

One can only imagine Damphousse's reaction when he realized what had happened, and, more importantly, what had been taken.
Vincent Damphousse, now 57 years old, recorded 1,205 points in 1,378 career NHL games, including 432 goals (with 1,190 penalty minutes).
He won the Stanley Cup in 1993 with the Montreal Canadiens.
