Fan makes controversial statement towards Martin St-Louis during today's press conference
A rather unique controversy surfaced on social media following the press conference of Montreal Canadiens head coach, Martin St-Louis.
Personally, I'm writing this text to defend Martin St-Louis because I believe some people are being too critical and hard on him.
During his press briefing of the day, we witnessed a funny little moment, a scene we've missed seeing, as Martin needed Chantal Machabée's help to find the right word.
We love to see that. However, not everyone feels the same.
Martin St-Louis criticized on social media for the quality of his French
One post in particular got people talking, but there were several like it:
Hoping the Canadiens follow the example of the Alouettes by encouraging the team to speak and connect in French, unique to Montreal
And she's perfectly entitled to her opinion, although I believe she's being too harsh on St-Louis in this case. He's genuinely doing his best and prefers asking Chantal [Machabée] for help rather than using the wrong words.
I fully agree with that.
