It's truly unfortunate that the situation is unfolding this way, but at least Demidov appears determined to come to North America next season.
So, we can probably forget about the idea of seeing Demidov finish the season in Montreal. For now, though, all signs point to him being here next year.
In fact, the matter seems to rest in the hands of one individual, and unfortunately, that person doesn't seem likely to budge.
It's a situation to monitor, but knowing that Demidov is exclusively tied to SKA until mid-May, barring a major twist, it's unlikely we'll see him play this season.
