For those who still doubted that Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is playing while injured, here is yet another piece of evidence.
A scene captured by TVA Sports journalist Anthony Martineau, live from the Bell Centre during the Canadiens' practice, makes it very clear.
Nick Suzuki tested his lower-body injury this morning at the Bell Centre
It's concerning, because it shows he is still clearly bothered and that the injury may be worse than we thought.
"Nick Suzuki is testing his lower body.
He has missed the last two practices.
All signs suggest his ironman streak will continue tonight."
- Anthony Martineau
Quite simply to make sure Nick Suzuki isn't too harshly criticized if he isn't as elite as usual tonight against the Los Angeles Kings.
His lower-body injury appears to be fairly significant, and I can confirm that many players would be taking games off if they had that same injury.
Nick Suzuki is the real deal!
Having a Nick Suzuki at 75% or 80% of his capacity is clearly better than not having Nick Suzuki in the lineup at all, there's absolutely no doubt.
Suzuki, 26 years old, has an impressive 20 points in 15 games this season and has been absolutely incredible once again, but he has clearly been bothered for about a week.
In his NHL career, Suzuki has recorded 395 points in 470 games.
And if he isn't selected to represent Canada at the next Olympic Games, it would be an embarrassment for the decision-makers.
