"Assuming there are no delays or setbacks, Demidov should arrive in Toronto on Friday, where he will meet with the Canadiens.
If documents are delayed or take longer to process, an emergency plan is in place for him to fly directly to Montreal and join the team from there.
The Canadiens should return home just in time for him to begin skating with the group over the weekend."

So basically, the number one plan (Plan A) is to bring Demidov directly to Toronto this Friday so he can join his new teammates there.
However, in case of an unforeseen issue or emergency, there is already a plan in place for Demidov to instead join the team directly in Montreal, a few days later.
