Forward Alexandre Texier was once again absent from the Canadiens’ practice in Buffalo this morning, confirming that his return is not imminent.

The Canadiens players took to the ice at the KeyBank Center on Sunday. It was an important session before heading back out West.
Unfortunately, number 85 was missing for a second consecutive day. The organization officially provided an update on his health status.
Texier is being evaluated for a lower-body injury. This absence follows his last-minute scratch before Saturday’s game against the Sabres.
Head coach Martin St-Louis therefore had to manage without his depth forward while fine-tuning his strategies.

Bad news for Alexandre Texier ahead of the matchup against the Minnesota Wild

Fans are closely monitoring roster management as the team prepares to travel.
The line combinations used in practice were identical to those from the previous night’s win (with Kirby Dach on the first line).
That means Joe Veleno keeps his spot in the regular lineup for now.
The extra players — Patrik Laine, Samuel Blais, and Jayden Struble — rotated in.
Laine’s presence among the scratches continues to spark discussion, but the focus remains on the injury situation.
The Canadiens will board the plane immediately after the session en route to Minnesota.
They will face the Wild at the Xcel Energy Center on Monday night.
Lower-body injuries can sometimes be tricky for players who rely heavily on their skating.
Alexandre Texier was held out of the session. The team announced prior to Saturday’s matchup that the forward is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
