Saturday night, a nice little novelty was noticed regarding the Montreal Canadiens players' post-game routine.

When we talk about the game sunglasses, we're talking about these ones, which were awarded to the player of the game, chosen directly by the Habs players:
And now, here is the new object that is awarded to the player of the game, directly in the Montreal Canadiens locker room:
The head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, often talks about wanting to see his players play like a pack of wolves, so the concept is perfect.
However, I didn't see this one coming!
But yes, it sparked another fairly unexpected controversy on social media.

A change that's causing a stir within the Montreal Canadiens

More often than not, it was obviously young Cole Caufield who received the game sunglasses; this time, he was the one who handed out the first wolf head to Alex Newhook:
Some people were outraged, claiming that a wolf had been killed to make this item.
"Even if some may disapprove of this choice (it is true that a wolf was killed to make this accessory), it is nonetheless quite a significant change."

- The Hockey News

"On Saturday, after the overtime win against the Ottawa Senators, Alex Newhook was named player of the game after scoring the winning goal.

He was not able to wear last year's sunglasses; instead, he was offered a wolf pelt, which he proudly placed on his head."

- The Hockey News

It was Cole Caufield who gave it to him directly after the game against the Ottawa Senators.
