We have an interesting late-breaking piece of information, coming from Sportsnet journalist Eric Engels.
This follows today's major announcement involving the Montreal Canadiens.
That's it, the infamous three-goalie situation is now over. On Friday, the Canadiens sent Jacob Fowler to the Laval Rocket, along with Owen Beck.
Owen Beck's return to the Laval Rocket could be setting up another major announcement, this one involving Kirby Dach
Now, all eyes turn to Ottawa, because a practice is scheduled today, followed by a press conference that has just been called.
The situation to monitor is Kirby Dach's health status, and possibly that of Jake Evans and Patrik Laine as well. The timing is perfect, as the Canadiens wrap up their road trip Saturday against the Senators.
Before getting injured, Dach had still managed to record 5 goals in 15 games this season, good for 7 points. In 284 career games, he has totaled 128 points.
He's not a savior, but he's a piece that changes the team's depth when he's available.
And speaking of Kirby Dach, if we go by Eric Engels' latest post, all signs point to him having jumped back into action, heading to Ottawa to join his teammates and potentially return to the lineup as early as tomorrow night! Wow!
"Wonder if moves Habs just made mean Kirby Dach is coming to Ottawa to potentially play Saturday. Practice at 1pm, so we'll see if he's there."

This will be the big storyline to watch today.
It certainly feels like a major return to play is coming, along with a big announcement at Martin St-Louis' press conference.
Details to follow.
