It's rare that we get news of this nature.
A Canadiens executive had enough of Juraj Slafkovsky.
As you know, Slafkovsky has not had the season start he was hoping for and has yet to regain the form he showed last season, even though his production isn't terrible.
According to what has been revealed..
On Monday, during the Canadiens' off day, Slafkovsky reportedly "took some heat" from someone within the organization.
The young forward seems to have responded well to it, saying it was a big "wake-up call."
"According to Anthony Marcotte, who shared the audio clip on BPM Sports' morning show, it's believed to have been either Kent Hughes or Jeff Gorton who told him some harsh truths."
- Charles-Alexis Brisebois
Personally, I have absolutely no issue with this.
It's now up to the young Slafkovsky to respond, not only to journalists but especially on the ice.
This season, he has accumulated 14 points in 22 games, including just two goals.
He was recently sent down to the fourth line but has since been moved back to the top six, notably alongside
Patrik Laine.
