We just obtained some interesting information from TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie, live from the Bell Centre and involving Florian Xhekaj.

Everything indicates that young Xhekaj will be taken out of the Montreal Canadiens' lineup for the game against the Winnipeg Jets, and there are even whispers about a possible return to the Laval Rocket for Florian.
His stint with the Tricolore may very well be coming to an end, at least for now. This will be a situation to monitor, but don't be surprised if Samuel Blais is eventually recalled and if Florian Xhekaj eventually returns to Laval.

Here is the report:
"Florian Xhekaj and Adam Engstrom skated this morning. Jared Davidson wasn't on the ice."

- Renaud Lavoie
Let's still keep this at the "rumor" stage for the moment, but unless there is a major change of direction, everything points to Florian Xhekaj being removed from the lineup.
Florian and Adam Engstrom would therefore be the two players sent to the press box for Wednesday night's game against the Winnipeg Jets, the second game in two nights.
Jared Davidson and Arber Xhekaj are expected to be in the lineup. However, more information will follow later today, as the Canadiens will hold two press conferences.
Speaking of "it feels like the end for a Xhekaj," let's recall what host Gilbert Delorme said Wednesday morning on BPM Sports, following the loss to the Ottawa Senators.
"The Sheriff doesn't drop the gloves anymore!

It's the end of his career in Montreal!"

- Gilbert Delorme, on Arber Xhekaj refusing to drop the gloves against Kurtis MacDermid.

And in your opinion, how many Xhekaj's will be with the Montreal Canadiens, say, two years from now?
