We have some action with the Montreal Canadiens today, and we have a roster move to announce.
For now, it's over, at least temporarily, for young defenseman Adam Engstrom in Montreal. He has just been sent back to the Laval Rocket, which could signal Kaiden Guhle's return to action.
Kent Hughes makes a move and decides to send young defenseman Adam Engstrom back to the Laval Rocket
It's a strange thing to say, but it points to excellent news for Montreal Canadiens fans.
All signs indicate that this assignment to Laval indeed means Kaiden Guhle is officially ready to return to action, which is huge for the Canadiens.
We are still waiting for confirmation to that effect, but don't be surprised if Guhle is in uniform as early as Thursday night (at the Bell Centre, no less).
"The Canadiens have returned defenceman Adam Engstrom to the AHL's Laval Rocket. He had no points in 11 games with Habs and was plus-3. In 20 games with Laval this season the 22-year-old had 5-11-16 totals and was plus-8.

Today's press conference by head coach Martin St-Louis could be very interesting.
Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. tonight, as the Canadiens host Brad Marchand and the Panthers live from the Bell Centre.
