Canadiens Call Press Conference Targeting Two Players, Including Winger Patrik Laine
The Montreal Canadiens will not hold a morning skate today before their game against the Colorado Avalanche. Therefore, we'll have to wait for the pre-game press conference with head coach Martin St-Louis to get updates on David Savard and Patrik Laine.
Let's remember that both players unfortunately had to miss Friday night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
As soon as Martin St-Louis provides updates on Laine and Savard, rest assured that we will keep you informed to the second. However, we'll need to wait for the pre-game press conference for that.
A highly anticipated press conference, live from Colorado, for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens
As Max Truman mentions, this is also when we're likely to learn the identity of tonight's starting goalie.
Will St-Louis go back to Montembeault, or will he trust the young Jakub Dobes against the powerful Colorado Avalanche lineup?
Don't be surprised if the Habs players seem a bit tired tonight, given their truly grueling schedule.
The Canadiens players arrived in Denver a little after 2:30 AM Quebec time (12:30 AM local time).
They will face the Avalanche at 7:00 PM Quebec time (5:00 PM local time) before heading back to Montreal the next day to face the Canucks on Monday.
Not an easy schedule for the Habs.
If it were your decision, would you send Dobes or Samuel Montembeault into the fray tonight?
The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM, so expect a press conference at 5:00 PM (Eastern Time).
Let's just say it would be a big help if Patrik Laine and/or David Savard were able to play tonight in Denver.
Laine, 26 years old, has 10 points in 13 games this season, including 8 goals, and his impact on the Canadiens' power play is immense.
Savard, 34 years old, has 10 points in 35 games this season, including one goal, and his presence on the ice is obviously significant for Martin St-Louis' squad.
