Everything indicates that we will finally see some action in the next few minutes, live from Carolina for the Montreal Canadiens.
After a stretch where the Club chose to skip practices, things appear to be returning to a more traditional routine.
At least, according to the team's morning release.
"The Canadiens are scheduled for a morning skate at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday." - Montreal Canadiens
The practice is expected to take place in the next few minutes, which would finally give the media a proper appointment. When there is no morning skate, everything gets decided late, and you end up waiting for the lineup until the very last second.
This time, we could get some clues on the ice.
Martin St-Louis will answer questions from reporters at a press conference, and a goaltender will be involved in one of the announcements
We are very eager to learn the identity of the starting goaltender for tonight's game. It will say a lot about what comes next.
As usual, Martin St-Louis will indeed be available for a press conference. And that's when he makes his announcements, especially regarding the identity of the starting goalie.
Sometimes you can guess based on the work in front of the net, but the real verdict always comes from the coach. When you factor in goaltender management in Montreal, every announcement almost becomes a mini event.
We're really looking forward to seeing what happens.
Sending Jacob Fowler to the crease would send an interesting message, and sending Samuel Montembeault to the crease would send a completely different one.
More details to follow.
