A second source, present at the Bell Centre, has also confirmed everything.
Confirmed: Samuel Montembeault is back on the ice with his teammates
This is excellent news!
We remind you that numerous rumors had circulated in the past few hours, notably because the Laval Rocket suddenly recalled a goalie (Hunter Jones), despite Kaapo Kahkonen being sent back to Laval.
People were wondering if something was about to happen in goal within the Canadiens' organizational chart.
On top of all that, a photo of Samuel Montembeault's empty locker in the Canadiens' dressing room at the Bell Centre, made the rounds on the web this Monday and Tuesday.
In short, all is well that ends well for Montembeault, who seems to be doing better, which is truly the most important thing!
Despite Montembeault's return this morning, everything indicates for now that it will be Jakub Dobes who gets the start to face the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Details will follow, notably during head coach Martin St-Louis' press conference in the next few minutes.
Speaking of the Lightning and goalies, as we reported earlier, star goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy won't face the Canadiens tonight due to injury.
This should be exciting!
